Adriatic lambskins are characterised by silk soft fine wool in pretty patterns and muted tones.
The Adriatic has a characteristic Mediterranean climate with hot summers and warm wet winters. The area has a long tradition of free range sheep farming with its own native breeds such as Bardhoka and the much rarer Ruda. In the recent past the regions native sheep have been cross bred with proven wool producing stock such as merino to create the high quality super soft fleeces of today’s Adriatic lambskins.
Adriatic lambskins are perfect as throws and make sweet rugs where the desire is to create softness and warmth without bulk.
